陳奕秀/I-Hsiu Chen
畢業於國立台北藝術大學,獲得美國茱莉亞音樂院 (The Juilliard School)全額獎學金低音管碩士,以及德國國立特洛辛根音樂院 (Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik Trossingen) 獨奏家最高演奏文憑。師事於郭宗恆、Frank Morelli及小山昭雄 (Akio Koyama)教授。
曾榮獲多次獎項,包括台灣區音樂比賽低音管組優勝,台北市立交響樂團協奏曲比賽冠軍,茱莉亞音樂院低音管協奏曲比賽首獎,國立台灣交響樂團室內樂大賽木管五重奏組第一名。曾獲選應邀於各大音樂節及大師班擔綱演出,包括世界青年管弦樂團 (Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra)、日本太平洋音樂節 (Pacific Music Festival)、德國Weimarer Meisterkurse、日本關西低音管音樂節 (Fagott Fest)、美國國際雙簧大會 (International Double Reed Society)、德國歐費斯蘭音樂節 (Musikalische Sommer in Ostfriesland)。
目前為國家交響樂團低音管副首席,並任教於東海大學及高雄師範大學音樂
I-Hsiu Chen, Assistant Principal Bassoon of the National
Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan, studied with Frank Morelli at
the Juilliard School under a full scholarship. She also studied
under the venerable Tzong-Heng Kuo of Taiwan, as well as bassoon
masters Klaus Thunemann, Milan Turkovic, Michael Werba, Helman
Jung. Recipient of prestigious awards in the United States
and Taiwan, including the Juilliard Mozart Concerto Competition,
the National Bassoon Competition and Taipei Symphony Orchestra
Concerto Competition, Ms. Chen’s career has spanned from Asia
to the United States and Europe. She appeared as a soloist
in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, under the baton of
Roberto Minczuk. She also toured Europe and Asia as a member
of the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra and the Pacific
Music Festival. Ms. Chen’s current projects include the quartet
Bassoonism! and the ProArt Chamber Orchestra. Over the years
she has worked closely with violinist Nai-Yuan Hu on the Taiwan
Connection Music Festival. In addition, she currently serves
a faculty member of TungHai University.
